Nominees of Onegin award 2019

Novaya Opera presents the first Moscow production of Benjamin Britten`s outstanding opera “The Rape of Lucretia”. The opera consists of only 8 singers and 13 instruments.

“Attila” was the biggest and the most expensive opera production in the history of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre. The production lasted for over 2 years and involves 300 characters. This opera was a directorial debut of the two-time Grammy winner and the recipient of the Golden Mask Award – Ildar Abdrazakov 

Cast: Olesya Mezentseva, Yan Leishe, Artur Kaipkulov, Vladimir Orfeev, Askar Abdrazakov, Sergey Sidorov. 

"The Devil in Love" is the only opera by Alexander Vustin, a recognized master of the Russian school of composition, whose name is not widely known solely due to the modesty of the author. For this production, Vladimir Jurowski, one of the most respected and sought after conductors of our time, was the guest of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre for the first time.
